Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, accessing, or using Batch Scanner (Batchy), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Batch Scanner is a mobile application that uses camera-based optical character recognition (OCR) and barcode scanning to decode batch and lot codes found on cosmetic product packaging into approximate production and expiry dates.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Batch code decoding is provided on a best-effort basis. While we strive for accuracy across our supported brands, decoded dates are approximate and should not be relied upon as the sole indicator of product safety or usability. Always follow manufacturer guidelines and use your judgment when assessing product condition.

4. Subscription & Payment

• Batch Scanner offers a freemium access model.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's store settings.
• Refunds are subject to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies.

5. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, providing accurate account information, and all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Acceptable Use

• Batch Scanner is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
• You may not misuse the service or interfere with app operation, infrastructure, or security controls.

7. Third-Party Content

Brand-specific batch code decoding algorithms are based on publicly available information. Brand names and trademarks referenced within the app are the property of their respective owners.

8. Intellectual Property

All app content, software, design elements, and related intellectual property rights are owned by Zapusklab LLC or our licensors and are protected by applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Batch Scanner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app. We are not liable for any decisions made based on decoded batch code information.

10. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
